PROMISED PROVISION MINISTRIES
"SERVING GOD IN HAITI" - SUSAN

Susan and some of the girls.Volunteering with Promised Provision Ministries in Haiti has opened my spiritual eyes. It has increased my faith by giving me the opportunity to see God miraculously provide time after time.  I have realized that God doesn't need for us to worry; He needs us to submit and obediently trust in and wait on Him.

I am involved in many other service organizations and projects but the opportunity to serve in a place where hope is a foreign thought and has to be taught, is most rewarding. Hopelessness is a cloak that covers the Haitian culture because of the lack of apparent opportunities.  Having been raised in an "affluent" country, we cannot imagine not knowing about the "entrepreneurial spirit" that our country embodies.  In contrast, many of the Haitian people are not familiar with the concept of consistent employment or the amount of work that it requires to be in charge of your own success.  This message must be taught through activities and education that will move our loved ones there from hopelessness to self-helpfulness.

We have such an opportunity to share and you never know what a timely placed phone call, e-mail or visit to a website could provide in God's world. We have to be obedient and He will take care of the rest.  Just obey.

It is difficult to summarize Susan and her contributions to this ministry because she is a jack-of-all-trades with a “get ‘er done” attitude.  She is relentless in her pursuit of resources to further God’s work in Haiti.  In addition to collecting donations in the local area and initiating fundraising events, she spends countless hours networking Promised Provision Ministries with other ministries and service organizations around the world.  Her efforts have yielded donations of free medical care and surgeries, agricultural expertise and supplies, student enrollments in educational and vocational programs for the children we serve….the list goes on and on. Susan is definitely one of God’s “go-to” people when He wants something done!
