CHANGING THE FACE OF CHRISTIAN FAMILY LIVING

Each Christian Family Community is designed with a central building, a Christian Family Center, to serve as a church and social center for the residents of the community.  Surrounding this center are individual family homes that provide private two-room family living quarters constructed in close proximity to one another in order to provide a sense of community for families previous isolated by distance on the mountain. 

The building design is simple and economical to construct of simple, inexpensive materials that are easily transported up the mountain where there is a path only able to be traversed on foot or by horseback.

The community layout also lends itself to economy and safety in numerous aspects of the residents lives – a central water source eliminates the need for individual water collection cisterns, close proximity allows families to share fires for cooking, thus saving money spent for cooking charcoal, and the ability to readily assist one another in times of need such as during births, following injuries, etc. can contribute to higher survival rates.
