Two years ago, when I totally lost my vision, I thought life was over for me. An older man like me in Haiti with no family or resources would surely have died in a bad state when I could no longer see to support myself or get around. The eye surgery gave me a new life! I have been reborn! People have looked at me differently since I am able to see – I have respect again.
But above all, my vision and new life will be used from now on to bring glory to God. I have made a commitment to work for Jesus until the day I die. I am now in charge of keeping the grounds clean and acting as gate keeper at my church and its school. I am also a mentor and controller for the Gideon’s Boys Club, the afterschool club that teaches and encourages our boys to grow into good, Christian men.

| Brother Andre Mathurin Now Able to Tend to the Maintenance of Facility Grounds |
Now that I can see, I do not miss any of the services at the church, even the prayer services conducted at peoples’ homes and different locations. I feel as newborn with lots of energy and vigor to serve.
I want to thank Promised Provision -- Sister Rebecca and Brother Jerry, Roody, Susan, Deborah, Jessica, Robin and Mindy, and Pastor Wayne and Pastor Joseph and all of the supporters for making my miracle of sight a reality. I committed to pray for all of you the rest of my life. Thank you Jesus!
NOTE FROM OUR DIRECTOR/MISSIONARY, ROODY –
The day after his final surgery, I received the biggest hug from Brother Mathurin! I feel his excitement and am reminded daily of his thankful heart. Expect miracles, Roody
NOTE FROM OUR PRESIDENT, REBECCA WILLIAMS –
I spent time with Brother Mathurin during my recent visit to Haiti and found a totally different man since his inclusion in our feeding program and successful cataracts surgeries! Once emaciated, forlorn and overlooked, he is now standing tall, grinning from ear to ear, and integrated into the groups of people who once passed by him with indifference. We invite you to rejoice with us over God’s wondrous love and provision for our brother, Andre Mathurin!
